Perhaps I'm not using the right words in my search, but is there a way to put in something like a text box for user ID and password (with perhaps a link to register for those not registered) at the top of my blog, and have it set so that only those who are registered users can comment?

I know there's a setting in the options for registered users to comment - what I'm looking for is the text box thingy for people to just type in their user id and password to sign in while at the blog.

Thanks very much for any help.

So you want people to register to make comments? I believe that many of the themes feature a "REGISTER" link that takes you to the signup page. Would that work instead?

Keywords would be "register" and "sign in" or "sign up" with WordPress.
