 * I’m getting this error now too after it was already working fine for months. 
   Would you mind listing your plugins so I can see if there is some overlap with
   my plugins? I’m guessing there is an incompatibilty somewhere and it’s probably
   one of the popular ones.

 * Check with your host. I was having same problem I go in my cpanel and found they
   were blocking outgoing connection. I just whitelist facebook ip.
