 * I am very new at this and really would like to use the Events Calendar PRO so
   have a few question – They may seem simple for most users but then I’m learning
   and the E C PRO seems to have a lot of power.
    1. We are a small social group(
   20+/- members) all listed on our WP website (in progress) as users with the author
   role. 1. We do not sell tickets and we do not require people to register to attend
   an event. 2. We want the members to be able to add, edit, and delete their own
   events. 3. We would like for them to be able to chose between creating a private
   or public private. 4. The public events we want anybody to be able to see. 5.
   Outside the group we do not want anybody to be able to register. 6. We are using
   the Kadence “Virtue” theme. I have created and using a “Virtue” child theme. (
   I’m learning). Q: Does E C PRO have a login setup to accomplish this without
   coding (I’m not that experienced yet but working on it). I hope I have given
   you enough info on what we are trying to accomplish. Thanks so very much for
   your help!

 * Hello [@warehouseman](https://wordpress.org/support/users/warehouseman/),
 * Thanks for reaching out to us. Let me try to answer your question and give you
   some info.
 * With the author role you are able to do #2 and #3.
 * 4) Every visitor to your site will see the public events. Private events will
   only be visible to the person who created them, and to anyone with Editor or
   Administrator priviliges. (Author is below Editor.)
 * 5) This is something you will need to manage within WordPress as user registrations
   are handled there. ([This](https://www.competethemes.com/blog/disable-user-registration-wordpress/)
   article might be helpful.)
 * 6) Awesome, happy to hear you are using a child theme. Very much recommended.
   Although we cannot guarantee that The Events Calendar works seamlessly with every
   theme, we are following strict coding standards. If the theme does the same then
   you should be fine. If The Events Calendar looks OK with the theme, then PRO
   will as well.
 * I hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.
 * Cheers,
    Andras
