  • On my first page of my blog there is a link to sign in to my admin page. Is this normal?

    Yes it is normal/common.

Seems like people could figure this out and get in.

Doesn’t seem likely unless you have applied severely weak credentials.

How can I take this off? It’s under META

Usually edited in sidebar.php of your theme. Or more commonly, you can usually also remove the default “meta” area by placing widgets in your sidebar and excluding the “meta” widget. However, anyone (and that is almost everyone) who knows anything about wordpress can still access your login page simply by placing //www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin in the browser bar. (normally). It is simply a matter of preference.

Not sure which version I’m using

Look at your source code, or log in and see what version is on the admin page.
