[Resolved] Login and register form on a page

I tried [theme-my-login default_action="profile"] to get the profile form to be displayed on a page /profiletest/. However, it only outputs “Your Profile” inside the page, but the HTML output of the page ends right after the newline character that follows.

The profile form on /login/?action=profile works as intended, and so does /profiletest/?action=profile so I’m mystified at what might be causing this. If the problem is the shortcode syntax, as I’m guessing, it’d be helpful to have a working example on the page linked above. If not, any tips for identifying the the cause and the solution?

The URLs /profiletest/?action=register and …=login give the same erroneous reply as without a parameter, only the output text is “Log In” in both cases if not logged in, but “Your Profile” when logged out. …=resetpass returns a completely empty HTML response if logged in and an HTTP 500 error response if logged out.

Would it be possible to have a shortcode that would display only the profile and nothing else, regardless of the ?action= URL parameters?

Why not just use the Custom Permalinks settings provided by the plugin?
