Logging/Banning of IPs

    This feature is very common in Bulletin Board systems such as phpBB, Invision Board, etc. It would be nice if the blog could log the IP of posts. In addition, on the admin side, it would be nice to be able to ban people via IP address.

    If you go to Options > Discussion, you can add the ip that you wish to ban

    Ajay, I don’t see that option. I see I can add words to blacklist, but not IPs. Am I missing something?

    Providing an IP under Comment Moderation will…moderate comments from that IP.

    However, I don’t think it’s quite what the OP was asking for.

    Pull the IP you desire to ban from the Manage > comments section.

    Then add it to your blacklist under Options > Discussion.
