  • Hello, is there a way to activate a log of all email sent via this plugin? I’d like to be able to review the entire call (e.g. Subject, To, From, Custom headers, etc.) in order to troubleshoot issues I am having. Specifically, I am receiving DMARC reports that email from another domain is being sent from my SendGrid account with dedicated IP. I don’t see any malicious connections on my account so I’m thinking there is some misconfiguration somewhere in my WordPress installation and this sort of logging can help me track it down.

    Hi @s0me0ne1,

    Unfortunately we don’t have a way to do that. The only possible option would be to see in your logs if calls to wp_mail function are logged – but this is very unlikely to happen.

    To better secure your SendGrid account, you can use IP Access Management – SendGrid support can help you with that, if you’re having troubles configuring it.

    Can this be added as a feature in a future version of the plugin? I know other plugins are able to do this so I’m sure it’s possible, I’m just not sure if I can use those plugins in tandem with this one as they might also override the built in wp_mail function. Even just an option to output to the syslog would be sufficient for my needs.

    The IP Access Management would help prevent unauthorized access but I have a feeling it’s less of an issue in relation to that and more of an issue of something in my WordPress installation misconfigured to use an incorrect “From” address. I haven’t been able to uncover this despite combing through all my settings and configurations, so I was hoping to see if I can trace the issue using logs. I’ve reviewed the IP access to my sendgrid account and nothing is listed there that shouldn’t be and as I use cloud services with my SendGrid account, whitelisting IPs is not feasible for me.
