An additional comment. If I arrive at a page where there is no WordPress menus visible (but I am logged in), and type the “wp-admin” like at”../home/wp-admin” then it just goes directly to the Dashboard top page. It does not ask for the log-in credentials.

Another comment. If I edit a page that has got the menu disappearing; edit it through the Dashboard | Pages that appears after doing the “fake” login mentioned above, of a page, then that edit goes through.

After that editing and save and view then the WordPress menu appears again on that page!

So the title “(so editing not possible)” is not the complete truth. I am able to edit going through the Dashboard.

I still have this problem which I would be very happy to have some comment on.

I still have this problem. On most pages the “Edit” menu is not available. So I have to go via the Dashboard (which also is not available on all pages, since that top menu line is in those cases gone), and do a Pages | Search to edit my pages.

    I have WordPress 6.1.1.

I have these plugins, all updated:

Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced)
    Akismet Anti-Spam
    Classic Editor
    Collapse-O-Matic
    Disable “BIG image” Threshold
    Jetpack
    Jetpack Boost
    Jetpack Protect
    PDF Embedder
    Really Simple SSL
    Table of Contents Plus
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache
