    Hello!

I have a my account-page that has been published on our site since the beginning of our website about 2 years ago but it has never been used. When I go to the URL, I am automatically logged in, I guess it is picking up my WordPress log in information. But so when I click to log out, I get logged out of wordpress completely. If I log into wordpress again, I am also automatically logged in to /my-account.

Is there any way to fix this or do I just have to live with it? I don’t like the fact that my name and stuff is in the my account-page and I can’t log out from it or remove my information.

Thing is I want to keep the my account-page for the future, since we do wish to use it maybe in 1-2 years. Also, to make sure no visitor accidentally finds the URL I want to turn the page into a draft, and not have it published. I am able to make it to a draft, but I am still always logged in on the /my-account when I go the URL.

    Best regards,
    Isabella

  • Hi there, WooCommerce leverages the same user system as WordPress, so if you log out of your site from the My Account page, you’re logging out of your site completely. The My Account page in WooCommerce will show information related to your WordPress site account, and orders and other things related to your WordPress user. There’s no way to separate the two user accounts – they are the same thing, WooCommerce simply adds some extra fields and roles on top of the WordPress user system.

Regarding information on your My Account page – that information is only displayed to you when you are logged into the site – your information is not displayed for other users. Can you clarify exactly why you don’t want your user information displayed there?

If you’d like to customize the information on the My Account section of your site, there are some various different options out there. This is a pretty good writeup: https://businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-how-to-customize-the-my-account-page/

    Hello!

Thanks so much for your reply!

OK I understand. I guess I was just worried that the information could be found by others somehow, thanks for clarifying. I will not worry about it anymore.

    Great tip thanks!

OK, great, glad we could help. I’ll close this out for now.
