I have been unable to log in since upgrading – which apparently was due to not logging out before I did so.

I have tried deleting my plug-ins, renaming my themes folder and even did a password reset through my functions.php file within my theme. Nothing is working, every time I go to my wp-admin page on IE or Chrome and enter my password it just spins back to the login info. I was able to set a new password (I can tell because it doesn’t shake at me or tell me it’s an invalid password), and it still doesn’t take me to the dashboard.

I’ve spent hours trying to solve this through those steps that were recommended above. Any other suggestions much appreciated!

    my site is http://www.partyhawks.com.

So I followed the advice to replace all the files via FTP other than the wp-conif file and the wp-content folders. Now the site (www.partyhawks.com) is there, but when I go to wp-admin, I get a 403 Forbidden error?

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/ on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

403 forbidden means that your browser isn’t able to load the scripts up because your server isn’t allowing it. This is a hard one to solve. Because anything could be blocking the server.
    – Most likely this is a server permissions/ownership issue, so ask your host what’s going on
    – check your .htaccess files for anything strange.
    – If no joy, try a full Manual Upgrade again, to make sure all the WordPress files are there and correct.
    – Make sure to backup everything (including database) before doing any action, in case.
