I am using Subscribe2 on my wordpress site. When I post a new blog post an email goes out to all that are registered. In their email is a link, and when they click on the link it requires them to log in. Problem is most people dont remember their passwords and I dont have any need for these posts to be private. Question is, can I change settings so that once someone clicks the link it just takes them directly to the blog entry with no login necessary? All I care about is the subscription so I can send them updates, I dont care about people signing in.

  • @iscollective,

You would need to delete all of these users as Registered Subscribers and create them again as Public Subscribers.

    Thank you for the info.
Im not sure I can see how to make someone a Public Subscriber. How do I do this?
What settings do I change so that as I move forward anyone who registers is registered as a Public Subscriber?

To make a Public Subscriber go to Subscribe2->Subscribers and in the Public Subscribers tab paste or type in the email addresses, one on each line or comma separated and then click the ‘Subscribe’ button.

To stop people being added as a Registered User / Subscriber turn off registration in the core WordPress settings at Settings->General and uncheck on the line where it says ‘Membership’.
