• Hi there!

I have come across a problem this week that kinda shocked me. So I made a website in English. I want to work with people who speak English only, because loooaaaads of people speak it and I cannot provide customer service in many other languages. So an email written to me in Spanish could no be processed by me.

This week I showed my fresh website to a friend of mine and it suddenly showed up in his mother tongue and it sounded terrible. Google translate obviously only strings the words together, but cannot detect meaning. I felt like an idiot! Why am I making all this effort to phrase words well?

Since I have another website in the making and I intend to use loco-translate … I mean does the automatic translate feature make your plugin redundant? What an awful thought 🙁 Your plugin gives me control over how to say things my way, google translate ruines everything.

So how does this work? How do I stop the automatic translation? Or do I need to stop translating my website beautifully, because google ruins it anyway?

Is there a way? (Please tell me there is something I/we can do 🙁 )

My plugin does not automatically translate anything. If you don’t like the machine-translation features, then don’t use them.

I don’t understand what you are asking. Possibly you have some other plugin installed that is ruining things.

ok, so I am all for your plugin as it gives me control over how to say things.

I am just wondering what will happen: let’s say I am installing your plugin. I am translating my website according to the helpful instructions you provide. I am very happy with how it sounds. Yay! But: what is going to happen when people from all around the world open my website and then the automatic translation feature of browsers strikes… will this ruin the effort of what your plugin offers? D’you see what I mean? I hope I am explaining it well… I guess I am wondering how to stop the automatic translation with the help of your plugin…

then the automatic translation feature of browsers strikes

If there is such a thing, then my plugin cannot stop it from doing what it does. My plugin is a file editor.
