The option "Lockout Invalid Usernames broken" creates errors in debug.log.

PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object [...]/wp-content/plugins/login-lockdown/loginlockdown.php on line 141

Reason: The ID of an unknown user is supposed to be written to the DB which obviously will never work, because for an unknown user get_user_by will return FALSE (http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_user_by#Return_Values).

I have changed sources on git (https://github.com/michaelnordmeyer/login-lockdown).

    Incorporated changes are

If the diff on Github looks red and green all over the place it's because the PHP file now has Unix line endings, which is more suitable for a Unix server.

The mentioned error in my previous post is not fixed. To fix it you either have to save a username to the db and introduce an artificial primary key or remove the option altogether.

@coffeemick - thank you, I am working on the new version now. All of the deprecated functions are updated, and I am recording the non-existing users with an id of -1. I should have it committed shortly.

@coffeemick - I just updated the plugin to 1.6. Any feedback you have on this release is welcome. I am hoping to add some new features within the next week as well.
