Locking HTML in posts / pages

  • Is there a technique or plugin in existence used to “lock down” portions of html code within pages&posts so that it cannot be edited through the visual editor? I am in an undesirable situation where some layout classes are being defined within the editable content of some pages. Because the site is being built for a client, I worry as this person edits these pages, formatting will get removed. Thanks!

It would be better to us something like custom post types, then your client would just select the kind of post they want to use and wouldn’t have access to the styling.

I’ll take a look into that. Thanks!
