“locked out” of Theme editor

    when I click the Update File button in theme editor, I get this page with two fields and an authenticate button, which I don’t remember getting before. I typed in my wordpress user name and password and it just took me back to the theme editor without the changes I made.

    My best guess is that this is related to the Apache password plugin I installed long ago, but since I was never able to get it working, I deactivated it. If that is it, any ideas on how to get rid of this authentication screen? If that’s not it, any ideas what’s going on?

    I’m having this problem too…. were you able to resolve it?

    In my case, I had to go into my wp config .php file and change the DB_HOST setting to “localhost” to avoid that error.

    I’m having the same problem and the Hofuzz tip didn’t help, because I already have “localhost’ as my DB_HOST.

    Is that possible to get some support on this?
