HI. I recently moved my site to a different host and after I was blocked from logging in by wordfence I tried to manually remove it via ftp and phpmyadmin using the instructions provided on your website. After that I was greeted with this error while trying to load my site

Warning: Unknown: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0

Fatal error: Unknown: Failed opening required '/www/wwwroot/xxxxxxxx.com/wordfence-waf.php' (include_path='.:') in Unknown on line 0

After getting the error I then manually removed w3 total cache and remnants of hummingbird and that did not fix the issue. Now I am stuck.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @stevenminix, thanks for getting in touch.

This error is down to the path for auto_prepend_file, which Wordfence requires for firewall optimization. However, after a migration it’s unlikely that this path will match exactly with the one on your old server. As the above directive runs before your site content is served, this can result in a blank site, or an error message being shown instead after migration is complete.

In our migration instructions, we do recommend removing this, reverting to basic protection, then following our optimization wizard from scratch on the migrated site. This is also good practice for moving a development site to a live environment: https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/remove-or-reset/#migrate-with-wordfence

It’s also absolutely fine now to manually remove the auto_prepend_file line and re-optimize the firewall using our wizard.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
