Also be sure to clear the cache and cookies in your browser before trying again.
That is how I always log in.
I just tried again and received the following message:
ERROR: Invalid username or incorrect password.
I cleared the cache and cookies and tried to log in. I received a message telling me I needed to enable cookies. So I enabled cookies and tried to log in yet again. The message was back to the following:
ERROR: Invalid username or incorrect password.
Hmm, okay, well since that happened after trying to install JetPack, let’s go with that :)!
You’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server – and find the plugins folder and delete the JetPack plugin from there –
wp-content
plugins
jetpack - DELETE THIS FOLDER
If that doesn’t fix it, rename the entire plugins folder:
wp-content
plugins.HOLD

I took all the recommended actions and there has been no change.
I even applied to change passwords again and was still unable to login.
Since the blog is new (it hasn’t officially launched yet), would there be any benefit to deleting or re-installing WordPress?
If it’s brand new and you’ve not done much, sure, you could do that. Or try one of these methods to reset your password:
