I have a major problem on my hands. I was working with a new theme, and things were going OK, when I tried working with some management stuff– manage files, it was.

A list of unfamiliar links appeared– I don’t remember all their names– like .htaccess and something about hacking. I clicked the hacking link and the test said there was nothing there. I clicked on the .htaccess link, and an error message showed up. I backspaced and BLAM my everything is gone. I can’t get to my Admin account, not even to the page– it keeps timing out on me.

What happened? I can’t access my account, nor my blog, nor even the homepage of my blog. Help!!!!

    My blog is newyorktraveler.net.

  • Your site works fine for me, also the Admin page is there… I’m currently working with IE 6.0.

Thanks for checking, Gangleri. I called my webhost and they said it looked like a safety feature kicked in– my IP was blocking my access into the site because I must have made it go “tilt.”

Several hours later, it’s back to normal and all operational.

It was quite a shocking surprise. I’ll leave this up and post it as “resolved” for anyone else who might come across something like this.
