It’s impossible to make changes on the menu, even cosmetic ones. Every time I click on Save I get thrown out to this url
wp-admin/options-general.php?page=menu_editor&selected_actor=role%3A{custom-role-name}
with now way to get in again unless I reset_admin_menu=1
Any ideas?
It breaks only when creating a new menu item from scratch.
It sounds like you’re describing two different things. Does it actually prevent you from accessing the WordPress admin, or is the problem that you can’t save changes in the menu editor? Or is it that you get “locked out” every time you try to create a new menu item, but not when making other changes?
Also, is there any particular error message that you see, or do you just get a blank screen? If possible, please check the PHP error log for recent messages – there might be something relevant in there.
Hi Janis,
Using Administrator account.
I get the error every time I try to create a new menu item for any role, but not when making other changes.
Error message: You do not have sufficient permissions to access this admin page.
The page is /wp-admin/options-general.php
Inmediatly my menu (as Administrator) gets changes in the menu that I didn’t make, completly messed up.. sometimes I see only one menu, others only a couple, random thing.
For the test I only make changes in the menu for one role, all the other stay default.
Uninstalled plugin and installed the previous version 2.2, no problem, everything works ok.
Installed the new version 2.2.2 , and it gives me the error again, so it’s something related to the latest version 2.2.2
I’ll stay with the previous one until you can find what the problem is.
Thanks for your help.
I’ve found the bug that was causing this problem in version 2.2.2. It’s fixed in 2.2.3. The update should show up in your dashboard later today. If it doesn’t, click the “Check for updates” link on the “Plugins” page.
