I’ve deleted the Wordfence plugin and any caching folders (there was no caching plugin remaining) and I’m still locked out of my site. How can this be and how do I get into my site? That unlock email never works – never receive an email. You could also try using an online proxy server to get in. So I tried to log in again just now. As soon as I enter in my username and password, I’m immediately routed to the locked out screen. We have WF set to 5 attempts, and I’m not even given one. The mods get irritable about that and it helps us track issues better. Not to mention that different setups and hosting providers, etc can lead to very different root causes. * If you are logging on from multiple computers from different IP addresses (not 2 computers behind the same router like at home) then you might have an issue where all IPs are reported as the webserver’s own IP.
