  • Deleting this plugin folder from cpanel?

Thank you. But how do I get into the cpanel? Where is the cpanel?

    Thank you!

Cpanel is a website control panel provided by hosting services. You access Cpanel, or your existing hosts control panel and file manager, whatever it is, by logging into your hosting account and going to the tools they provide you with. A quick alternative is to do the same thing using your ftp client.

I’ve gotten in and added login lockdown back in but when I hit the activate link it activates the plugin but doesn’t take me anywhere where I can set it to how many login attempts, locked down for x amount of hours……..

How I can set it with my preferences?

    Thanks!

    Found it in admin panel.

Question: How is ‘Retry Time Period Restriction’ different from ‘Lockout Length of Time’?

    Thanks!

    From the plugin instructions:

    3) Customize the settings from the Options panel, if desired.

Activate the plugin, then > Dashboard > Settings >Login Lockout, and set your preferences.

Thanks Clayton. Where do I go to change the password for login lockdown?

    Thanks!

Question: How is ‘Retry Time Period Restriction’ different from ‘Lockout Length of Time’?

    My assumption would be:

Retry Time Period Restriction: The time span in which the maximum number of failed login attempts allowed before I am locked out.

Lockout Length of Time: The length of time my IP address is banned after activating the lock out.

Where do I go to change the password for login lockdown?

I don’t see that as a feature. I don’t think there is one. It’s protected by the admin account.

Thanks! I found it in the USERS / YOUR PROFILE settings in the dashboard.

As long as you understand that’s for your site login, and has nothing to do with the plugin. That will change your login password for your admin account.

    Best wishes!

    THANKS!

    LAST QUESTION!

Is there a max amount of minutes you can lock someone out for? Previously, I thought it was 3 days, but I just put in 300 hours in minutes and it saved it.

    Thanks again!
