# Lock guestbook

 * Is it possible to Lock the guestbook to stop new submissions? I’ve bodged this
   at the moment by using css to hide the buttons!

 * Hi,
    The most simple thing you could do is replace the `[gwolle_gb]` shortcode
   with `[gwolle_gb_read]` so only the messages get shown, not the form. You could
   add a text that temporarily new messages are not possible, or whichever you you
   might formulate that.
