Locations map question

Hi,

We use a google map at the top of our events page using the [locations_map] code. Our events page is set to only display upcoming events, however the map displays all locations, whether they are for upcoming or past events.

Is there a way to have the map also only display locations of upcoming events, without going in and manually deleting locations once their event has passed?
