    Hi @glamer,

Thanks for your interest in our products.

I’m sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with our plugins!

The issue here is that we are using a dated version of Select2. It’s most likely that one of the plugins you are using is also using Select2 but a newer version so there is a conflict happening.

We are aware of this and are exploring our options. For the time-being, you can try to find the plugin/theme that is conflicting by checking out our Testing for Conflicts guide.

If you don’t mind, can you update this thread with a list of active plugins that you are using as well as the plugin that is conflicting with The Events Calendar? It’d be greatly appreciated and could help get to the bottom of this.

    Take care,
    Ed 🙂

    hi
i checked it very deep and i found the problem
when i am creating locations with Question Marks or apostrophes in the location name (title) this bug happening
we create locations in Hebrew so there is alot of names with this charcters
it should be fix, it’s a serious bug…

Ok, I can set up a similar environment and do some testing. To be clear, when you are entering these locations with special characters, the location is not being shown on the map?

when i have locations with ‘ or ” in the title name and open new event the ajax drop down select field to choose exist location or add new one doesn’t work anymore

i dont think that you need a test environment for this, just add new location like this: alf”a or alf’a and save and open new event, try now to pick this alf”a location or any other location you will find that this select drop down field doesn’t work anymore

I’m unable to replicate this issue. If you are recycling venues a lot, it might be worth adding them within Events → Venues → Add New.

If you still continue to have issues, I’d suggest taking a look at our Testing for Conflicts guide as it could be a potential conflict.

    Take care,
    Ed 🙂

can you please copy this text (with hebrew):
    מוזיא’ון אנז”ק

and try it?, there is no any conflict i disabled all my plugins
please create event with this title texted above and try to open new one and locate locations in the drop down field

It’s not breaking for me. I filled the other fields with that text too.

Can you enable WP_DEBUG() and see if it throws any errors? Also use WP_DEBUG_LOG on that same page.

    i saw your attachments
did you save this event? and try to open new one? and then try to open “locations” drop down

Yes, here’s the edit event page → http://p.tri.be/j7zWmO — dropdown still works fine.

If you are certain that all other plugins are disabled, you may want to try to temporarily activate a theme like Twenty Seventeen.

    Hey there,

Since this thread has been inactive for a while, I’m going to go ahead and mark it as resolved. Don’t hesitate to create a new thread any time you help again!

    Ed 🙂
