localizing half of the system…. weird I know
I want to localize the public facing size of my wordpress installation to French. I want the administrative backend to remain in English.
99% of what I need to change is of course in my theme, however there are functions that are part of wordpress, like the side bar calendar, signup messages for accounts, and things like that, that are not part of the theme.
Question 1: Right now I’m editing things like general-template.php to set locales in functions like get_calendar etc, is there a smarter way?
Question 2: Is there a method by which i can subclass general-template.php inside of my templates directory instead of modifying wordpress core files?
