Support » Plugin: Flo Forms - Easy Drag & Drop Form Builder » Localized updates disappearing with activated plugin

  • Hi!

The localized updates are disappearing if this plugin is active and I get this warning in the frontent:

Warning: Cannot assign an empty string to a string offset in /www/htdocs/[…]/wp/wp-includes/class.wp-scripts.php on line 454

And on activation i get an “Headers already sent” error, which disappears after reload.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    All the best,

  • The warning disappeared after re-saving the settings, but the localized core updates are still gone. I only can update to en_US and not to de_DE.

    All the best,

    Hi Torsten.
Can you help me replicate the issue?
I need some details about your configuration.
Which strings were localized and now are not? Are those strings part of the WP core, or from theme or plugins?
Screenshots and any info that could help me understand how to replicate the issue are welcome.

    Thank you.

This is the problem (update button for localized WP is missing):

And this should be correct content for a localized site:

It is not easy to reproduce, but I have many websites (ca. 200) on the same hoster without such behaviour.

If I disable every plugin (with Site Health Troubleshooting Mode) the error is gone and I see the button and it is not consistent when the button disappears again. It seems to be a conflict with the Theme Update plugin (because it is the only plugin which is interfering with the update system), but sometimes it works again if this pugin is disabled …

Here is a report of the server and site config:

    All the best,

PS: The other error is re-appearing after each plugin deacivation and re-activation.

After deactivation of the “Flothemes Theme Updater” plugin, the button re-appeared. And it doesn’t re-disappeared after re-activation. Problem (hopefully) solved. I will write again if this problem re-appears.

    All the best,
