# Localization not working?

 * Hi!
    I’m using Fictive. The translation to Spanish doesn’t seem to work.
 * The languages folder, and all .po and .mo are in place, but the theme still is
   in english.
 * How do I change the language?

 * Hi, can you double-check this support document on [Installing WordPress in Your Language](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language)
   and then check at Settings > general > Site Language to make sure you have selected
   your language there and saved?

 * Yes, I’ve read the document, and my Site Language is set to Spanish.
    All the
   admin site is in Spanish. Dates and generic text are in spanish. Only the text
   dependent from the Fictive Theme is in English. I’ve tried with Fictive and with
   a child theme. Nothing seems to work. There is a language folder inside the fictive
   folder, with all the .mo and .po files.
 * I’ve installed CodeStyling Localization, and I have seen something strange.

 * Open your wp-config.php file and make sure that it has the following in it:
 *     ```
       define ('WPLANG', 'es_ES');
       ```
