Localization files – how can I edit them?

  • Hello, I would like to say thank you for your awesome theme PATH for WordPress. I would like to use it, but I have problems to translate it in standard ways. Editing .po and export .mo files doesnt work.

    I used last available version of WordPress (3.5.1) in czech version (cs_CZ).

    I will be glad if you send me some instructions, how can I make it. If you do so, Be sure of I sure will donate you for help.

    Many thanks for any answer and have a nice day!

    Here is what you should do.

    1. Copy files hybrid-core-en_EN.po and path-en_EN.po from Path theme language folder to child theme language folder.
    2. Rename those files to hybrid-core-cs_CZ.po and path-cs_CZ.po. Open them in Poedit and start translating.
    3. When you save the file in Poedit, it also creates .mo files.
    4. Remember to check out that you have your language settings in wp-config.php file. For you it should be
      define ('WPLANG', 'cs_CZ');

    Also link to your site if there is a problem.

    Here is premade child theme.
