Localised (translated) user names in multisite blog (5 posts)

I'm using WP multisite feature to support both Russian (skycase.ru) and English(skycase.pro) versions of my site.
I've got one shared user ashiyanov on both blogs which name is "Artem Shiyanov". What I want is to make his name "Артем Шиянов" on the RU blog.

Currently I use the plugin "Multisite User Management" to share the users and "Multisite Language Switcher" for translation/mapping pages.

The simplest solution would be to have different users for different blogs.. But it not only un-handy, but it doesn't describe the reality well - ashiyanov is really one single man.

  2. The problem is that user info is shared between sites. It's one database table.

Do you need their author page to be different, or just the display in posts or...?

    Ipstenu, thanks for reply!
For the moment I want to display same user differently on different blogs.
Indeed, I forgot about author page (maybe cause I'm not using is), but I guess that "Multisite Language Switcher" plugin will cover me.

  4. This plugin was made yesterday: http://wordpress.org/plugins/author-customization/

It may be what you need! I saw it and thought of you :)
