  • A few hundred hours over two months were well-spent moving this multi-author, local issues blog from MT 2.64 to WP 1.2. I haven’t gotten everything quite how I want it, but it’s ready enough. I made it live yesterday. If anyone is interested in developing a similar resource for your own local community, let me know!

  • wow! great design and obviously an engaged community to boot!
congratulations! thanks also for plugging wordpress and explaining your customizations, plugin usage in the about section.
    great work:>)

p.s: atomz seems to work well as site search. i wonder how much it costs … their site advises contacting a sales rep.

really! thanks for the tip on that… it may be one of the better solutions available to us then

Those staggered menus which make the content get progressively wider are seen very rarely but are a really effective way of laying out 3 columns. I like it all. Just my 2c.

FYI, has just added advertising to it’s free search pages. 🙁
    Still works great, though.
