# Local install

 * Hi
    I have installed WordPress locally and the installation was the best I have
   seen ever! However every time I click a link I get taken to the directory and
   not the file. So if I clcik th Archives April link I get taken to [http://localhost/TeeJayUu/blog/?m=200604](http://localhost/TeeJayUu/blog/?m=200604)
   and the Site Admin Link goes to [http://localhost/TeeJayUu/blog/wp-admin/](http://localhost/TeeJayUu/blog/wp-admin/)
 * How can I stop this happening? Everything works fine on line (www.teejayuu.co.
   uk/blog) but not locally. I want to get everything sorted out before I go live

 * Have you perhaps forgotten to enable the permalink structure in the admin panel?
   And if your .htaccess file was created successfully, have you checked that it
   sets the RewriteBase correctly? In your case it should be set to /TeeJayUu/blog/
