 * I had an issue with code injection on my WordPress site. Since I was thinking
   of moving hosts anyway, I set up a fresh install on a new host and pointing the
   DNS to the new site. I’m slowly rebuilding the site from scratch. In order to
   replicate the site as much as possible, without reintroducing the hack, I’m trying
   to install the backed up version locally (via MAMP). It seems that I’ve successfully
   installed WordPress and Imported the back up, but the site is not functioning.
   –
   Typing localhost:8888 just results in a blank page. (Prior to importing the old
   database, I would get the WordPress site). – Logging into the admin account results
   in blocks of sections instead of the true WordPress admin window. (The top line
   says “Skip to main content” – then there is a row of icons, then Dashboard, then
   the Dashboard submenu items (Home, Updates, etc).
 * Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Being able to see the previous data easily
   would be a great help.
 * Cheers.

 * Yep. Thanks for the links. However, I’ve successfully had the base install running.
   The issue pops up when I replace the default DB tables with the backed up version
   from the previous site.

 * You will need to run a find and replace on the database to replace the old URLs
   of the old site with the new URLs (of your local site) – [http://wordpress.org/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/velvet-blues-update-urls/)
   is a useful plugin for this.
 * Or use a tool like [http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/](http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/)
   to migrate databases from one WordPress install to another.
