I'm very new to wordpress and have followed through all the instructions carefully. However I think my lack of knowledge of php and mysql is where I am going wrong.

as soon as i get to the wp-admin/install.php page I get this

It's a common error most people have gotten and I've tried solving it as much as I can. I'm pretty certain its the DB host that is the problem. I've tried a variety of DB hosts and none seem to work.

It might be something simple that I have missed but I would really appreciate anyones help.

if I put in the local host as wic001my.server-sql.com

    I get this

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in e:\inetpub\esvc000995\blog\wp-includes\formatting.php on line 98
WordPress database error Table 'vs289631_1.wp_options' doesn't exist for query SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = 'siteurl'

...and I think the bunny lady just might give me creepy dreams now.... cool.

By the way, my blog has been running for months, and if I type myblog.com/wp-admin/install.php in the address bar, the exact same thing happens. I think its just telling me I already installed WordPress!!!
