I do get this at the top of the page:
You have successfully updated the Responsive Menu options

    Hi there,

Are you clicking “Update Responsive Menu Options” or the “Import Options from XML” button.

It seems like you are doing the first which means you are just resaving the settings you already have, you need to specifically hit the import button or it will have no idea thats what you want to do.

In addition you don’t need to bother doing all the copying and pasting from the browser into text editors and saving – just hit save page in your browser and it should just save it correctly as it is an xml formatted page with xml headers.

    All the best

I was clicking Import Options and was getting this result: You have successfully updated the Responsive Menu options

So, the actual problem was doing the cut, paste and save process. Some how it was altering the information. Even though I was getting a “success” notice it was not truly a success.

Question, why is the file not actually downloading when I click on download file?

Might want to change it to actually download the file or easier, just suggest the proper Save As technique so non-techies like me won’t lose our minds! LOL

Anyway, thanks for the clarification and great plugin!!

OK, I see a little bug here. Even when no file is attached for uploading I’ll click Import Options and I STILL get: “You have successfully updated the Responsive Menu options”

This really shouldn’t be popping up unless Options have really been Update. Just clicking a button shouldn’t result in a successful update notice.

    Minor, but surely confusing.

    Hi Chris,

Not sure why someone would click the button without having selecting a file and it doesn’t really affect anything, however I will look at it once I have squashed the more important bugs.

    Thanks for pointing it out

    All the best

Someone not selecting a file is not really the point, I’m just pointing out the level of this issue, which yes in minor. More of an FYI.

    Love the plugin!

    Hey Chris,

Yes I see your point completely and you are right – thanks for pointing it out, it is on the list!
