Loading animations between pages (6 posts)

Can anyone explain to me the principles of how loading animations that occur between loading pages work?

Any example is http://www.field.io . The logo "field" animates with shifting colors when you direct yourself to a new page. As you can see it's also built in WP (pretty impressive in my opinion).

So can anyone tell me the underlying concepts involved? I'm prepared to the reading I need to do to figure out the details.

    Thanks in advance.

I maybe didn't word my question clearly. I'm less concerned with the animation and more concerned with how to make something like an animation occur when loading a new page.

My original post wasn't clear so I posted a follow up clarification:

"I'm less concerned with the animation and more concerned with how to make something like an animation occur when loading a new page."

Based on the link you sent, is it related to setting up event listeners?

No, it's about CSS animations because you are still asking about them right? If you're so much less concerned about animations that it's not a concern at all and you're just asking how to trigger things on-page-load look at using jQuery.
