 * When I activate the plugin, my page continues loading and i do not get it activated.

 * That’s strange. Try enabling `WP_DEBUG` and `WP_DEBUG_LOG` (if not already) and
   try again. Then check your `wp-content/debug.log` file to see if there are any
   errors there that indicate the plugin.
