I’ve searched high and low, but I can’t find any solution.
I have this widget called “Quick Post Widget”. Now I want this to appear on the dashboard, so that users don’t have to go through the steps of adding new messages, but can just do that through the dashboard.
The current widget does that as well, but stilllacks category options. The Quick Post Widget does have this function.
The reason I don’t want it on the front end, but in the dashboard, is that the rest of the site uses pages, so therefor I don’t want them to give more logins. I just want one login place where they can edit the pages and add new messages. I thought it would be easier this way, to prevent them from all the overwhelming options that you get when adding new messages.
I tried several dashboard plugins that promise you to add new plugins etc, but never work with version 3.1 of wordpress.
If you know the solution to add something to functions.php and make the widget load in the dashboard, OR know a plugin that does work for adding widgets to the dashboard, let me know 🙂
