Live Preview Not Working (WP 4.3.1)

A few days ago I tried to live preview a new theme, as I want to update my blog’s appearance. Turned out, the live preview didn’t work. It did work fine last time I tried maybe a week or few ago.

It loads the left side bar ok and I can make changes to it, but where the preview should be, there’s only blank page with the loading animation.

Tried on other themes and and the same thing, also when trying to customize the current theme.
It doesn’t help to switch browsers or even operating systems (usually I use Linux, tried on Windows and didn’t help). I reset my browser and tried to look for an answer from here, but couldn’t find anything. At least anything I would’ve understood. (I found a similar thread from 2-3 years ago, but couldn’t understand the instructions

So is there something I could do? And someone who would be able to explain the things for me so that I would understand at all what to do? Or someone to do it for me? 😀

I would kinda really need this fixed.

Try Enabling debugging and post the results.

Well, somehow the live preview started working today. Out of a blue. Not complaining, but have no idea what I did or didn’t do. : D

Hello People,

I’m having a similar problem here. I tried most of the uninstalling plugin hints, also the cache cleaning, different browsers etc. but no success…

The theme preview doesn’t work, neither does the customize. Mine is a bit worse because the customize also doesn’t show the options on the sidebar. Apparently it happened after the new update.

It only displays:
-“Save and Publish”
-“You are in customizing”
-“Active theme”

When I click inspect element over the preview area, I get this message in the console:
” Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘get’ of undefined
customize-nav-menus.js:2011 “

The 2011 line is this:
“element.set( navMenuLocationSetting.get() === control.params.menu_id );”

I’m quite a noob on reading and changing wordpress code, but I can follow detailed instructions…

Any chances you know what’s happening?

Hello,
I had the same problem.
In my case helped rename index.html file that was in the same directory as wordpress.
perhaps it helps someone

Any solution to this? It has really crippled me and I can’t delete and reinstall wordpress. Not an option!

I need the customization to modify Zerif Lite, and I can’t, this is really frustrating.

Isn’t there anything we can do to correct this problem?
