    Hello,

    I think I have worked out that Live Composer used to be for sale but is now free but premium support is a bit expensive for me as I am just starting out. I did the online playground tutorial and found one Get Started video, but I wondered if anyone could tell me where to find additional videos.

    Thank you for your help

    Chris

    Thanks a lot.

    It’s a shame I missed it when it was a plugin for sale (support was included) but it looks like there’s a great community building up around it. I am new to WP and I tried several drag & drop builders and Live Composer is my favourite to start off with.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Yeah me too, i’m not exactly new to WordPress but i’m still learning, and LC is a great way to deploy your themes and websites, it saves hundreds of hours.

    if you are interested in coding for WordPress and create your own modules for Live Composer, go to these links below.

    The best part is that LC makes the half of the job or more!

    Hi,

    @rodrigocalix

    Thank you for helping out.

    @ccuny

    I was thinking about another support option but wasn’t sure if it would be something the users are interested in. Basically it would be 3 month access to premium support for $20. It is a shorter period of time but in most cases it would be enough time.

    Is that something you might be interested in?

    But to be honest we don’t really get many support requests, the interactive tutorials pretty much explain the usage of LC better than text or a video could so “how to use” support requests are quite rare.

    Make sure to check out that interactive tutorial if you haven’t already.

    Yes, that would work for me. You would have to get feedback from other users but I could definitely go for that.

    I think users with a bit of experience find LiveeComposer easy. I am stuck at a very basic level (where do I deal with headers and footers, what do I still need to do in the WP Admin panel etc. That’s really because I am a WP newb too, but I would be happy to pay that kind of money for limited support.

    Thanks Slobodan.

    The Header, Footer, search, 404 not found, and many other things, are part of the theme, technically what you do with LC is the body of the page, if you go and generate your own theme with underscore (link above in one of my comments) you will see in the files: “header.php”, “footer.php”.

    If you are using a theme, it should have the options of editing the footer and header in the dashboard.

    But if you are creating your own theme, you need to add those options by yourself, you can use the Titan Framework, it will allow you to create easily those options, in the dashboard:
    http://www.titanframework.net/
    http://code.tutsplus.com/articles/a-beginners-guide-to-titan-framework-introduction–cms-24140

    With it and Live Composer, you will have a Pro Theme.

    If you are not coding and you are just creating a website for a business or yourself i highly recommend you use a theme, it will save you a lot of time, Live composer have awesome themes here: http://livecomposerplugin.com/themes/

    @rodrigocalix

    I hadn’t seen the whole post. Thank you for taking the time to explain fully. I don’t feel up to dealing with the Titan Framework just yet.I know that ultimately, I will need to tackle it but for now, I think you have just confirmed that I need to start with a theme to customise. I have indeed checked out the LiveComposer themes but I would still value your recommendations. The requirements I know I do have is ease of use (if that is indeed different from theme to theme) and responsiveness. Short of that, I am happy to hear your recommendations.

    I know I have written this before but I really do appreciate people taking time to post answers. Means a lot. Thank you.

    @ccuny Your welcome, happy to help, and yes Live Composer is really easy to use, you can learn it in five to ten minutes, livecomposerplugin.com/playground/tutorial-chapter-one?dslc=active

    All depends of your time if you need something fast, use a theme, if you want to be creative and do something personalized you can hire someone or write your own theme.

    Hi,

    The free “Blank” theme allows everything from header to footer to be LC powered, including search pages, 404 pages, archives…

    Give it a try if you haven’t already.

    Thank you both.

    I did download the blank theme and I will start palying with it after Christmas. I had already taken all the chapters for the tutorial so it’s time to dive In before I start asking other questions.

    Slobodan, am I right in thinking LiveComposer was a paid plugin on CodeCanyon before but is now free? I will buy the paid add-ons and donate if that is the case.

    (@livecomposer)

    Hi,

    Yes, it was a paid plugin on CodeCanyon, we removed it from there and made it free on September 10th.

    A bit more info on that at http://livecomposerplugin.com/blog/live-composer-is-now-free/.

    Regards,
    Slobodan
