Support » Plugin: eShop » Listing the products: seeing the definition

    Hi !

I just downloaded and tried your plugin, thanks for the work.

You know in your video tutorial you set a pineapple product. And then you write ” Freshly picked, juici and refreshing, etc. ” When you browse your list of products, you see that definition beside the image. Why on mine I only see “…” ?

Thanks for the help and for this cool plugin !

the video was done some time ago, and things will have changed since then

Ok thank you, I will use the panels option so no definition is fine for now. Thanks.

Actually, for another kind of products, which are books, I will need to display a definition. Any idea on how to achieve this with a shortcode?

Otherwise I’ll need to look for another plugin and I don’t want to…

    Thanks !

So wrapping up : displaying a definition when listing products. When using [eshop_list_subpages] it gave me ”…” as a definition.

There is nothing set up in eShop to handle definitions. But you can add anything you like to the page/post of a product.

What I mean is the content of the post. Or the description of the product. Shouldn’t I be able to display it when listing the products ? To display at least some details when listing the products ?

    Ex: Book one
” This book is about bla bla bla… “

    Book two
    ” This book… ”

Hi elfin please wait until answering me because I found out in my blog that same “…” instead of an extract of the post so it might be my own wordpress that’s struggling.

    Thank you !

What I mean is a problem with the excerpt. That’s the word I was looking for… my excerpt is showing “…” instead of the 55 words. Thanks and I’ll fix that problem and let you know.

Oh there we go… my theme had an option to specify the length of the excerpt… it appears that no value was entered and therefore by default the value was “0”.

So I had no excerpt but just “…”. I’m sorry about the confusion ! Keep on the good work and thanks for your patience !
