There is an issue with the ‘Listing Expiry Date’ field where it isn’t displaying the correct date in any version of Internet Explorer when you save a listing. You can change the date and update the listing, but when the page reloads the old date is still showing.

If you look at ‘All Jobs’ overview you can see the correct date displayed. But, if you click back into the listing the old date will still appear. When you re-load the page you can see the correct timestamp, but it loads the incorrect date.

Hi @hstralka when you are adding or editing the listing are you doing this in the frontend or backend interface?

I haven’t used any frontend interface to upload jobs, so I must be adding jobs in the backend. Here is a screenshot of the ‘Job Data’ section where I’m having issues showing the correct date in IE.

    Sorry just to clarify here:

“If you look at ‘All Jobs’ overview you can see the correct date displayed. But, if you click back into the listing the old date will still appear. When you re-load the page you can see the correct timestamp, but it loads the incorrect date.”

Is this in the backend or using the jobs shortcode in the front? Also can you clarify what you mean when you say the timestamp is correct, but not that data?

I think there is some confusion in posting jobs typically, in that people use the backend interface, when really the frontend one should be used.

The first statement is correct when viewing the site on any version of IE.

This occurs when I log into WordPress and access the ‘Job Listings’ from the backend. I’ve never used the shortcode to edit the jobs in the frontend, which I assume means going to an actual page on the website to add the open positions.

To clarify, when I go to the ‘All Jobs’ page I see the correct dates. When I click into a job a see very quickly the following: 2017-07-10 00:00:00. But, when the page finishes loading it goes back to the original date of 2017-06-20. Then you have to update the date to the correct one every time you save, because it always defaults back to 2017-06-20 (or the original expiration date of the listing).

When looking at the screenshots for the ‘WP Job Manager’ plugin I am editing the job listings in the admin interface (last screenshot). I would rather not add a job form to the frontend of the site to accept submissions (first screenshot), but are you saying the form is the way job listing should be submitted?

@hstralka sorry for the lack of follow up here. Is this still an issue for you? If so I’ll work on getting a Github issue open and do some testing.

Yes, this is still an issue on IE. But, I’ve since advised all users that they have to post jobs in another browser or update the date every time they update the listing. No one has any any issues with using another browser so it isn’t something I need resolved right away, but wanted to bring the problem to your attention.

@hstralka thanks for following up. I’ll work on debugging this next week.
