# Listing comment count

 * How do I get the comment count to appear in my “recent” listings? I want them
   to be listed such as “post title – (X)comments”
    the page in question is [http://www.webimpresario.com](http://www.webimpresario.com)
   also, how could I create a mini excerpt below each listing of recent (just ten
   words or so from each)?

   your ‘recent’ posts. Is it a plugin? Custom code?
 * Generally, you can use the comments_number() template tag to display a comment
   count:
