List posts in category and highlight ‘active’ post

Hello all,

I’ve been looking through the archives and the plugin list and haven’t come across anything that can do this.

I want to display a list of posts from a specific category in the sidebar, and have the active post given a class so i can style it differently (like the current_page_item feature in the page lists). I’ve used WP Category Posts plugin to generate a list of posts, but can’t find a way of marking up the active link.

Any help much appreciated
