Support » Requests and Feedback » List of Pages – add column “permalink”

  • The left side menu of WordPress contains a link to the list of “Pages”. This list has columns for “title”, “author”, “comments” and “date”.

It would be helpful to have a column “permalink”.

I never use columns “author” and “date”. Instead I would like to see columns for “last modified by” and “last modified at”.

  • Hey,

It’s difficult to understand without your website link or a Screenshot where you want to make changes.

@naveenkharwar thx for your quick reply. I made a screenshot and added some comments but have no clue how to put it here? Is there any place where I may make it available?

@joy looks interesting but I always prefer to have the basic features in the basic solution.

WordPress core is not going to add all the things you want to see. There has to be a balance of what is most needed and works well. It’s the 80-20 rule.
So using a plugin is the solution for most things. And that plugin is quite configurable, letting you rearrange the order and add your own titles and choose what to see.

Alright. I get your point. Although I still doubt the 80part concerning the list of pages. What is the use case to know the original author of a page? Same question for the creation date? Normally I want to talk to the modifier of a page, which will not be displayed and I even cannot choose that info from the list config. Anyway, lets stop this discussion as it does not solve anything.

How can I close this issue?
