    The plugin makes a query for the latest few attachment images. It then steps through each result to get the image url. Since attachments are a special type of post, each one has the ID of it’s parent as part of the object returned. The parent is typically the post associated with the image. You can use this ID, for instance, to pass to get_permalink() and use the result to build a link.

    Be warned that if you hack this plugin, your changes will be lost if you update the plugin.
