Hi @jb510,
Thanks for contacting us! Could you edit the page or widget area where you adding the shortcode for the Twitter plugin and ensure that the shortcode is being added to a “Text” or “Shortcode” block, and not a “Code” or “HTML” block? Sometimes this can cause this type of problem.
If the shortcode is already added this way, or if changing that does not resolve the problem, please send us a support request here and include a link to the page with the feed and the System Info from the Help page of the plugin settings.
Thanks!
Louis
Thanks Louis – Sorry if the original post wasn’t clear. This is using Beaver Builder and the [custom-twitter-feeds] shortcode is in a BB Text Editor Module on a page.
I did drop it into a standard widget area inside a text widget. I’m not getting extra p/br tags there, so it may be specific to Beaver Builder.
I did notice overflow-y seems to have disappeared between v1 and v2 which is making it render even more poorly a the moment, but the main issue is wpautop double filtering and adding the p/br tags.
I took a look and it looks like CTF switched from generating $tweet_html and returning it to using a template. I presume that template is now being subject to wpautop whereas the return value wasn’t.
Hi @jb510,
Apologies for the long delay here! For some reason I did not receive the notification that you had responded. Thank you for the clarification and for providing this additional information. We would need to do some more in-depth investigation for this issue, so if you could send us a support request here, we’ll be happy to help!
Thanks!
Louis
