# List Category Posts Widget

 * I downloaded the plugin List Category Posts. It is supposed to create a list 
   of recent posts in a particular category. When I activated it and tried to create
   a recently posted list for a category, it did it but all the other items in my
   sidebar disappeared. Also, it seems the widget will only create a recently posted
   list for ONE category. If you try to have a recently posted list for a different
   category, it just replaces the first one.
 * Does anyone know why it erases all the other items in the sidebar? Is there not
   a widget that can create recently posted lists for ALL my categories?

 * this is normal – themes often have hardcoded ‘spaceholder widgets’ in the sidebar.
   
   the moment you drag a ‘real’ widget into the widget area (under **dashboard –
   appearance – widgets**), all other ‘spaceholder widgets’ disappear; you will 
   need to recreate the sidebar widgets using ‘real’ widgets from the **dashboard–
   appearance – widgets** section.
