# List category posts plugin: ‘current category’ issue

 * Hi there, I have been using the list category posts plugin successfully for a
   while (sidebar navigation), thank you for creating it, but now (since I have 
   updated) all posts are displayed when I select ‘current category’ in the settings,
   which I don’t want (I only want the ‘current category’). It still works fine 
   when I select an existing category, but I want the category to change automatically
   for each post/page. Can you help me out?

    What version of WordPress are you using? I recently changed
   something in the way the current category is detected for compatibility with 
   WordPress 4.9. Maybe this is the issue?

 * Hi Fernando,
    fantastic to have a reply so fast. I had 4.7.7 and installed your
   plugin update because it was listed with 100% compatibility with 4.7.7. I have
   now updated to 4.9 and everything is in order again. Issue resolved! Thanks again

 * broken on wordpress 4.8.3 too. updating to 4.9 fixes it, but you should note 
   that in in plugin description.
