• First of all, I love this plugin. With that being said, I have a small issue with adding 3 menu items which link to an edit page with parameters. For example:

    Table 1 (wp-admin/admin.php?page=ninja_tables#/tables/1/)
    Table 2 (wp-admin/admin.php?page=ninja_tables#/tables/2/)
    Table 3 (wp-admin/admin.php?page=ninja_tables#/tables/3/)

If you’re on the menu item for one of these tables (Table 1, for example) the links for Table 2 and Table 3 don’t do anything. However all the other menu links for non-table items works just fine. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
    Selena Smith

Have you tried entering the full URL? Can you send a screenshot? Thanks

I tested again with the full URL but that didn’t resolve the issue. It behaves like a non-link. I’m not sure how to send a screenshot.

Ok, I will need to see a screenshot so I can try and reproduce the issue on my end. If you aren’t sure how to do this you can Google it for your particular OS or device. Thanks,

First of all, I do appreciate your help with this issue. I don’t want to come across as rude or anything, but I’m not sure what you want in the screenshot. I can send you a screenshot of the menu as displayed but I don’t think you’ll get much info from that.

Basically, all I’m doing is adding three menu items and the URL is as noted above (wp-admin/admin.php?page=ninja_tables#/tables/1/ etc). I’ve tried it with the relative path and the full path and the results are the same … if I’m on one of the table edit pages, the menu link for the other two pages don’t work – the page just sits there.

    Hi @selenasmith,

I just want to see what you have setup in the menu edit page. I don’t need to see the finished menu, I want to see what you have entered to create your menu items. Thanks,

Here’s the screenshot of my menu setup:

I’m not sure how to view the link/path of the menu item after it’s saved.

    Thanks!

    Hi Selena,

Can you please go to the advanced edit mode for the menu and then share your screenshot. Thanks,

Here’s the screenshot. Sorry, I haven’t used the advanced edit mode settings.

I looked into this, I am sorry I don’t know a solution for this.

I’m having the same issue, and I’m also getting the “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page” that’s been mentioned in other threads. Not supporting parameter based urls looks like I’m going to have to opt for another plugin as they’re a key feature of our setup. As you looked into this, do you have any insight into how this could be rectified? Or is this something that just won’t be supported?

Issue occurs using latest WP, Twenty19 theme and any plugin with parameter based urls… eg Gravity Forms.

    Hi @ojay,

As per the latest support agreement in the latest version of the plugin, I no longer provide support for the menu and toolbar part of the plugin because I don’t have the resources to maintain the free plugin anymore.

I can say though that the admin menu absolutely works with Gravity Forms. The issue with some plugins though like Gravity Forms and some WordPress features is that they are only available to certain user roles. So just because a Gravity Forms menu item might show for a subscriber user role thanks to my plugin (when it typically wouldn’t), it doesn’t now mean that subscribers can now actually access the menu item and carry out all the functions that are on that menu page. Because the Gravity Forms plugin has restricted access to menu items and functions to particular user roles these users may encounter errors. So there are 2 sides of the coin, there’s the display of menu items, and the other side is the permissions to access and do things. My plugin just does the first step. This statement is pretty broad advice but I hope it helps. You may need to use a plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-role-editor/ to actually set permissions.
