[Resolved] Links using post name, not numbers

  • Greetings!

I’m new with WP blogs. I was using Blogspot, and now I see WP is *MUCH* better.

Well, I set up correctly my new blog, a great theme. Lots of changes, but now everything is OK.

    Almost everything…

Trying to explain correctly, let’s consider an example. (Sorry for my poor English.)

Let’s suppose I write a post named “WordPress is great”.

I use excerpts in my home. The visitor reads a little, then he sees the “More” link.

Clicking the MORE link or in the POST NAME will redirect the visitor to the dedicated page to the post. Right? This is OK. The problem is the address of this dedicated page. My blog displays NUMBER OF THE POST rather then THE NAME OF THE POST.

So I see, for example, bloglauco.com/?p=16#more-16 and not bloglauco.com/wordpress-is-great or something like bloglauco.com/2009/5/wordpress-is-great. 16 is the number of the post. By the way, I would like if not even the #more appear in the address — ONLY the name.

I don’t want numbers. What should I do?

    Thank you very much.
